By using the WatchOwl app, you accept these terms of use. Please read them carefully.
1. Service description
WatchOwl is a mobile app that recommends films using artificial intelligence. The service is available in a free version (1 suggestion per day) and an Owly+ version (5 suggestions per day, one-time purchase).
2. User account
To use WatchOwl, you must create an account via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In or email. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to circumvent the free quota limits
- Automatically extract data from the app
- Resell or share your Owly+ access
4. In-app purchase — Owly+
The Owly+ purchase is a one-time payment (no subscription) that permanently unlocks the following features:
- 5 AI suggestions per day (vs 1 in the free version)
- All special modes
- Advanced statistics and the annual "Your Year in Film" recap
- Full access to the Watchlist and to your history of watched films
- Friends space: sharing and recommendations between friends
- Third-party integrations: Letterboxd, Trakt.tv, IMDb and other services
- All upcoming Premium features
Payment is processed by Google Play or the App Store depending on your platform. No recurring subscription — you pay once. Refunds are governed by the platform's refund policy (Google Play or App Store) as well as by the statutory right of withdrawal applicable to digital content.
5. Intellectual property
WatchOwl, its logo, its design and the Owly character are the exclusive property of Lithiuw Studio. Film information is provided by TMDB and remains the property of its respective owners.
6. Limitation of liability
WatchOwl is provided "as is". We do not guarantee permanent availability of the service nor the accuracy of recommendations. We disclaim any liability for indirect damages arising from use of the app.
7. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. Any change will be communicated in the app. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
8. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts in France.
