Is WatchOwl free?

Yes. The free version gives you 1 suggestion per day (3 films) and the Wheel of Fate mode. Owly+ unlocks everything for €2.99 as a one-time purchase, for life — no subscription.

Which platforms is WatchOwl available on?

WatchOwl is in private beta on Android: you sign up from this site with a nickname and a Gmail address (required by Google Play). An iOS version is planned if the app finds its audience.

How do I join the beta?

Click "Join the beta", enter your nickname and Gmail address, and you'll receive your Google Play invitation by email. No spam, just the invitation. 🦉

Where do the films and recommendations come from?

Film information (synopses, cast, posters) comes from The Movie Database (TMDB). Recommendations are generated by Google Gemini AI based on your mood and history. No advertising, and your data stays protected.
